Jennifer Pierce became involved with the Firehouse Hostel initially as a volunteer because she had stayed in hostels while traveling and loved the idea of having one in Arkansas. She has previously worked at the Clinton Presidential Library and wants to help teach others about the hostel’s history and unique offerings it provides our city.
She has traveled to 41 states as well as Canada, Mexico, and Puerto Rico. Jennifer has had the opportunity to host and interact with many visitors to Little Rock and loves to share our history and culture with them! She has a background in Public History, Secondary Education, and Heritage Studies. She is deeply interested in politics, social justice initiatives, waterfall hunting, ice skating, serving as a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and organizing local community events. She started local non-profit, Central Arkansas Pride, and serves on the Board for Legends of Arkansas, an all-Arkansas music and arts festival, and is the Community Outreach Coordinator of the Kaleidoscope Film Festival.
