Colonel John R. Fordyce, III, USMC, Ret., served in the Marine Reserves for over thirty years. A graduate of Vanderbilt University and a financial advisor with Merrill Lynch, Inc. for thirty nine years, he has experience and knowledge of financial matters as they pertain to successful businesses. He has broad experience of how non-profit organizations must work in order to survive. He has served as Chairman or Board Member of the Pulaski County Chapter of the American Red Cross and Blood Program, local Boy Scouts, and church.
John has been a life-long backpacker and hiker, who loves backpacking and staying in hostels. He was a Commissioner with the MacArthur Museum of Arkansas Military History, and now serves as Treasurer of Hostelling Arkansas, Inc.
