Buffalo National River

Off

The Buffalo River, located about 2 hours by car from Little Rock in northern Arkansas, was the first to be designated a “National River” in 1972. It flows freely for 135  miles, winding past spectacular limestone bluffs, with areas of rapids and quieter pools. Some of the best hiking trails in the state can be found nearby. Canoes, kayaks and rafting trips are available.
